I'm so happy you're here! Allow me to tell you a bit about myself and Afreen Visions:
Afreen Visions was a dream that my sister, Afsha'n, and I brought to life in August 2020. We were determined to capture a lifetime's worth of memories for the people who graciously trusted us in a time of uncertainty during the global Covid-19 pandemic.
Fast forward to 2025, I decided to take over the business on my own, which means I play the role of a lead photographer, editor, content creator, event coordinator, and your professional third-wheel! I’ve always loved photography, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to dive back in and turn it into something more. It's a privilege to spend my time capturing real, beautiful moments for people, and I genuinely love every second of it. I’m all about laid-back sessions, genuine laughs, and making sure you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
Outside of photography, I’m probably traveling, spending my time at a local coffeeshop, or watching one of my favorite rom-coms (probably a Bollywood movie). Can’t wait to meet you and help tell your story through my lens!
+ Before Afreen Visions, I ran a little 'food appreciation' page on Instagram (@merlovestoeat) where I’d snap pics of all the delicious eats around Dallas just for the fun of it all! Maybe one day I’ll bring that foodie content back — fingers crossed for more food photography in the future!
+ I was born and raised in Dallas, but my South Asian roots run deep! Nothing makes me happier than the comfort and beauty I find in my culture. Everything from the food, the clothing, the music, and the traditions is so close to my heart, and I love that I get to capture the admiration I have for the South Asian culture in my work!
+ In January 2022, I made one of the best decisions of my life and married my husband! He swept me away to Tampa for a couple of years until we finally decided to move back to Dallas in February 2024. We are so happy to call Dallas our forever home! (P.S. You'll likely see him at some events with me, as my assistant, so don't be shy and come say hi!)

Great question!
My approach is super laid-back and fun. The time you spend with me in your session is to let loose and be the main characters in your story (or your final gallery, in this case!). I'll help you through all the poses and prompts to make sure the love you have for yourself and your loved ones is reflected through your photos!
